Providing mental health therapy in a convenient and affordable way, to anyone who struggles with life\u2019s challenges<\/p>\n

From the Heart<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello Everyone,<\/p>\n

My name is Martin. Together with Andre, my friend and business partner we founded and created Santum. The idea for this counselling platform came from our personal experiences with mental health issues. As we endured challenges in our own lives, we developed a genuine desire to help those in need.<\/p>\n

My 23-year marriage had been adversely affected by episodes of anxiety and depression, to the point of irreconcilable breakdown. Even though my wife and I took active part in the therapeutic journey together, which included numerous psychologist visits and which lasted for about 6 years, we were unable to save our marriage. We had a sad but amicable separation, however we remain friends to this day.<\/p>\n

Andre on the other hand, experienced mental illness from a different perspective. When Andre was 20 years old his stepfather had been diagnosed with schizophrenia. Through the years, the condition presented many family challenges, however since it has been managed correctly, Andre\u2019s parents live a happy and fulfilling life. They are now over 80 years old, still together and still going strong.<\/p>\n

Our experiences have taught us that mental health issues are tangible problems which pose real life challenges. We now understand that these challenges can not be fixed by anyone but licensed professionals.<\/p>\n

Since Andre and I are entrepreneurs (not mental health practitioners), we decided to embark on something that we know well \u2013 business relations, interactions, social media, online structures etc. Hence, we came up with Santum, a perfect platform to connect patients and counselors.<\/p>\n

We sincerely hope that Santum is considered a genuine contribution to our society, a platform that promotes healing, recovery and mental wellness.<\/p>\n
